From Napkin Sketch to Market
The problem. Lane Osborn, a lineman, had an idea for a tool holder that mounts on a utility pole: a place to hang bags, tools, and handline during the climb. He had a sketch, but no way to design, prove, or manufacture it.
What we did. We turned the sketch into a 3D model, then MJF 3D printed prototypes so Lane could test fit and load in the field. Once the design was proven, we had an injection mold made in about six weeks and moved into production.
The result. Pole Buddy launched in 2022 at the International Lineman’s Rodeo in Overland Park, made in Missouri.
