Description
The Open Splice Junction Box gives exposed wire splices a safe, code-compliant home in minutes. The one-piece box has a hinged lid that folds down over the splice, so existing connections can be enclosed as they are instead of being cut apart and remade. It’s a quick fix for attics, crawl spaces, basements and inspection punch lists.
Features
- No re-splicing: the hinged lid closes over the existing splice, so you don’t have to disconnect the wires.
- One-piece design: patent pending, with no loose covers or parts to manage.
- Tested to code standards: UL 514C (US) and CSA C22.2 No. 182 (Canada).
- Room to work: 25.8 cu in of volume, with cable slots on all four sides for tight spaces.
- Fits common NM cable: 14-2 with ground through 10-3 with ground.
- Fire-resistant polymer: black finish keeps wiring neat and discreet.
- Made in the USA.
How to install
- Turn off power at the breaker, then check that the existing connections are tight and undamaged.
